Nebraska Trucking Compliance From One Team

Permits and filings, drug and alcohol testing, driver files, and Clearinghouse queries, handled by one family-owned, Nebraska-based team with three clinics and our own mobile collectors.

  • Filings and Testing Together
  • Fleets of 1 to 100+
  • 24/7 Post-Accident Response
One program

Your trucks and your drivers are one compliance program.

Nebraska trucking compliance covers both sides of your operation. The truck on your International Registration Plan (IRP) cab card needs a driver with current medical certification, a place in a random testing pool, and no prohibited status in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse. When those records live with different offices, nobody sees the whole picture until something lapses.

Diversified Safety & Compliance can handle each piece for Nebraska carriers: your permits and filings, drug and alcohol testing, driver qualification files, and Clearinghouse queries. One team, one set of records, and one number to call.

What we handle

Four parts of your program, with prices

Permits and filings

International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) returns from $100 a quarter, IRP renewals from $150, Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) for a $35 service fee, and Form 2290 for $70 per filing, with government fees and taxes billed separately.

Drug and alcohol testing

Our DOT drug testing consortium is $129 a year per company. DOT drug tests are $75 at our clinics, or $95 with our mobile collectors plus one trip charge per visit: $10 inside Lincoln, Omaha, or Beatrice, or $0.70 per round-trip mile elsewhere.

Driver qualification files

A complete file for every driver under 49 CFR 391.51, with every due date tracked, for $18 per driver a month after one-time setup of $50 per company and $25 per driver.

Clearinghouse queries

Full queries before hire and limited queries every year, $35 each with FMCSA's fee included. Status is tracked on our platform, and our team runs your queries.

One new hire, one call

The new-hire steps we handle, and when

Each step, with its price, is on our hiring a CDL driver page, linked below.

  1. 1

    Pre-employment drug test

A verified negative result before the first safety-sensitive shift (49 CFR 382.301), at our Lincoln, Beatrice, or West Omaha clinic or with our mobile collector.

  2. 2

    Clearinghouse full query

Run by our team, with the driver's consent, before the first shift (49 CFR 382.701).

  3. 3

    Motor vehicle records (MVRs)

The current state's MVR before the first shift, since it now shows a CDL driver's medical certification, and an MVR from each other state licensed in over the past 3 years within 30 days of hire (49 CFR 391.23).

  4. 4

    DOT physical

At our Lincoln or Beatrice clinic, from examiners listed on the FMCSA National Registry.

  5. 5

    Driver file setup

The driver's qualification file built, checked, and tracked from day one.

Local where it matters

A Nebraska team you can call by name.

Our carrier compliance team, led by Wendy Clement with Angelia Tweedy, works from Lincoln and handles your driver files and filings. Tyler McLellan runs our random testing consortium. Our clinics are in Lincoln (6400 Cornhusker Hwy, Suite 450), Beatrice (416 Court St), and West Omaha (18960 Edna Street, Suite 100), and our own collectors cover Nebraska and Kansas.

After an accident, call (402) 252-5144 any hour and we'll help your Designated Employer Representative (DER) decide whether a DOT test is required and send the nearest available collector. See our 24/7 post-accident testing.

We've been members of the Nebraska Trucking Association since 2020.

For Nebraska Trucking Association members

A welcome offer for NTA members new to Diversified

Nebraska Trucking Association (NTA) members new to Diversified get a free Compliance Readiness Review (normally $295), 10% off the first year of DOT consortium membership ($116.10 instead of $129), and driver file setup at no charge (normally $50 per company plus $25 per driver).

Nebraska trucking compliance questions

Do you handle filings and drug testing for the same carrier?

Yes. We handle your IRP, IFTA, UCR, Form 2290, and MCS-150 filings alongside your random testing pool, driver files, and Clearinghouse queries. Your records sit with one team, so the people filing your IRP renewal also know when a driver's medical certification is about to run out.

What does a Nebraska trucking company need to stay compliant?

For a carrier with CDL drivers: a USDOT number and a current MCS-150, operating authority if you haul regulated freight for hire across state lines, UCR if you operate across state lines, IRP and IFTA for qualifying interstate trucks (over 26,000 lb or three or more axles), Form 2290 for vehicles with a taxable gross weight of 55,000 lb or more, a random testing program, Clearinghouse queries, and a driver qualification file for every driver. See every date on our 2027 trucking compliance deadlines page.

Can you take over my filings partway through the year?

Yes. Send us your current cab cards, last IFTA return, UCR receipt, and USDOT number, and we'll pick up from the next filing due. Your accounts stay in your company's name, so the move itself doesn't interrupt them. The sooner you send your records, the more time we have before the next deadline.

Do I have to buy everything from you?

No. Many carriers start with one service, such as the consortium or IFTA returns, and add more later. There's no bundle requirement. If you run up to 5 drivers and 5 trucks and want testing, driver files, and your main filings on one yearly price, see our 2027 owner-operator packages.

What does it cost to add a new driver?

About $295 for a consortium member hiring a driver licensed only in Nebraska: a $75 clinic drug test, a $35 Clearinghouse full query, a $20 MVR review plus the $15 Nebraska fee, a $125 DOT physical, and $25 driver file setup. Add $50 once if you're new to our driver file service. See the full checklist on our hiring a CDL driver page.

Do you work with carriers based outside Nebraska?

Yes. Testing, driver files, and Clearinghouse queries work wherever you're based, and drivers outside our mobile area test at one of 3,000+ partner collection sites. State filings are built for Nebraska-based carriers, and filings for carriers outside Nebraska are available on request.
