The goal is simple: no day when your drivers aren't in a random pool, and testing records that move with you. FMCSA's 2026 minimum random rates are 50% for drugs and 10% for alcohol (49 CFR 382.305), and they apply to your average driver positions across the year, so a mid-year move is routine.
At Diversified Safety & Compliance, Tyler McLellan runs our DOT drug testing consortium day to day. When a driver is selected, you hear from us, and in Nebraska and Kansas our own collectors can test at your yard.
You call the team that manages your pool, Monday through Friday, 8–5 CT, and our post-accident line is open 24/7.
Our own mobile collectors test selected drivers at your yard or job site across Nebraska and Kansas, so a driver doesn't lose half a day.
Selections, results, Clearinghouse queries, and driver files on one platform, organized for a compliance review.
Match it to the day your current coverage ends, so your drivers are always in a pool.
With your USDOT number and each driver's name and CDL state.
Name Diversified Safety & Compliance as your C/TPA in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse. Designation has no charge, and we'll walk you through it.
Give them your end date and ask for copies of your testing records.
Your drivers are in our pool from your start date and in our next quarterly selection. We keep your records from then on.
Testing records stay your responsibility as the employer, with most records kept 1 to 5 years depending on the type (49 CFR 382.401). Keep copies with your files, and send them to us so they sit with your new records.
Nebraska Trucking Association (NTA) members new to Diversified get a free Compliance Readiness Review (normally $295), 10% off the first year of DOT consortium membership ($116.10 instead of $129), and driver file setup at no charge (normally $50 per company plus $25 per driver).
Yes, at any time. Start with us the day your current coverage ends and your drivers are never out of a random pool. The FMCSA minimum rates apply to your average driver positions over the year, and our selections pick up from your start date.
Log in to the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse as the employer, remove your current C/TPA, and designate Diversified Safety & Compliance. We accept the designation on our side. If the login or the steps are new to you, call us and we'll walk you through it.
Membership is $129 a year per company, billed when you join and renewed each January 1, and designating us in the Clearinghouse has no charge. When a driver is tested, a DOT drug test is $75 at our clinics or $95 with our mobile collectors, and a breath alcohol test is $55. Mobile visits add one trip charge per visit: $10 inside Lincoln, Omaha, or Beatrice, or $0.70 per round-trip mile elsewhere. If you don't have a Clearinghouse employer login yet, setup is $150.
Send us the substance abuse professional's (SAP's) follow-up plan. We continue the directly observed follow-up tests on the same schedule, so the driver's plan stays on track, and the results go into your records with everything else.
Not necessarily. Your policy belongs to your company, not your consortium. Our customers get free DOT and non-DOT policy templates and help adapting them. If you want your current policy checked line by line against the rules, that's compliance consultation at $150 an hour.
Yes. We run separate non-DOT random pools under an employer's written policy, at $129 a year per pool, separate from DOT membership. Selections work the same way as in our DOT pool, and employers can choose an instant panel read during the visit or a lab test.
Send your driver list and the day your current coverage ends. We'll set up your pool and walk you through the Clearinghouse designation.
